Duke track and field competes at ACC Indoor Championships, men finish 7th, women 10th

While several Blue Devils did receive All-ACC recognition, the meet was the culmination of a relatively disappointing season riddled with injuries, particularly on the women’s side for head coach Shawn Wilbourn’s squad. The women’s squad finished 10th at the meet after Monday’s finale. However, the men’s fared much better than expected, finishing in a tie for seventh.

Duke track and field breaks years-old relay records at Clemson, pens program bests at Liberty and Boston University

The Blue Devils competed against schools from all around the country, racing at sites hosted by Liberty, Clemson and Boston University. Junior Lauren Tolbert was the star of the show for Duke, breaking the school record in the 800m for the fourth time this season.

The Blue Devils earned a trip to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Jan. 2 in Jacksonville, Fla. They will face off against the Ole Miss Rebels, led by quarterback Jaxson Dart and offensive mastermind/head coach Lane Kiffin. The Rebels also finished their season at 9-3 in the SEC.

Balus, Jackson and Coleman earn bids to women's tennis NCAA Individual Championships at ITA Sectionals

Balus and Coleman powered back to win the second set 6-4, and then crushed Pennsylvania’s Esha Velaga and Lara Stojanovski 10-2 in the third-set tiebreaker of the Sectional semifinal, guaranteeing them a spot in the NCAA Doubles Championships, which will take place in Waco, Texas. On the singles side of the draw, senior Emma Jackson also qualified for the individual championships, joining Balus, Coleman and sophomore transfer Eleana Yu.
