I wish us more

But what there is not is a multitude of sermons on what it means to be in happiness, in extended states of peace, or to be okay with thriving and not expecting that suffering will bring an end to every good moment you experience.
Women deserve to be seen for the strong, beautiful, magical beings that we are. Our bodies deserve to be treated as holy, hallowed and revered dwellings, not just when men find them “attractive” for their own use, but in our autonomy and individual existence.
The church is not fighting to upend and end poverty. It is fighting to silence and placate those in the midst of suffering and need.
When will the church understand that it won’t be evolution, but rather a staunch need to be infallible and unmovable, that will lead to the downfall of the church?
Secular entities like public schools and federal workplaces need to remember that they are home to diverse peoples and beliefs who deserve to be acknowledged respectfully.
How did the so-called followers of Christ become the same people trying to uphold racism and topple the government? Well, friends, it all boils down to two words…Trash Theology.
Understanding that Christ was NOT a white man who stood for status and abuses of power matters. Actually, it does more than matter; it is imperative.
This week, I offer you a place to find hope and community, through prayer.
The guiding principle of this nation has never been true righteousness, or even holiness, but rather a deeply perverted sense of piety accompanied by a terrible case of self-righteousness.
