We live in a world fascinated by romantic love – discussions of intimacy and relationships surround us everyday. Why then do we feel too embarrassed to talk about love? Why do the words we put to the feeling often fall short of the actual experience?
Despite being aware of the immensity of our world and knowing that there are other people doing the same thing, you can’t help but feel that your experiences are truly your own. In the face of all the evidence to the contrary, the troubles you navigate, the relationships you build, the jokes repeated over and over, it has to be uniquely yours. And why can’t it? Why shouldn’t it? There isn’t harm in embracing your own narrative for a bit, because if you don’t, who will?
