Freshman Eddie Loftus exploded for six goals Friday in Duke’s easy home win over Presbyterian.
Senior Lindsay Gilbride scored four goals and added two assists for Duke, but it wasn’t enough as No. 1 Northwestern’s offense overwhelmed the Blue Devils, 19-14.
The Blue Devils are especially experienced on the offensive end, as the four leading scorers from the previous year’s Final Four team all returned to Durham for another campaign.
