No. 13 Duke women's basketball's road nonconference matchups will prepare it for competitive ACC slate

The Blue Devils emerged with a 75-71 victory after a hard-fought, physical matchup. The Jackrabbits proved a worthy opponent after Duke pulled away to a 38-30 halftime lead, fighting back to tie the game and raise the blood pressure of Blue Devil fans everywhere. Raised blood pressure this early in the season might not be the best for fans, but for Lawson’s team, it’s ideal.

'His ability is special': Patrick Ngongba II shines in debut for No. 6 Duke men's basketball against Wofford

The aforementioned offensive boards were two of his five Saturday afternoon — a team-high. He added on a defensive rebound for a total of six, the second most on the team in only 11 minutes. Ngongba’s vision was also on display throughout, with two assists on 3-pointers. Despite not seeing the floor until today, Ngongba proved to be an outstanding talent.

Following Tuesday’s defeat at the hands of Kentucky, No. 6 Duke men’s basketball (2-1) returned to Cameron Indoor Saturday to take on Wofford. The Blue Devils’s attempt to bounce back is successful at half, dominating the Terriers 51-14.

The losses came in very different manners; The Blue Devils lost to the Hurricanes in a tough, back-and-forth matchup Friday evening but Sunday’s game was a different story, with the Seminoles dominating wire-to-wire.

Scouting the opponent: New quarterback Brock Glenn presents unique challenge for Duke

If the Blue Devils want to beat Seminoles, they’ll be looking to stop Glenn’s offense from getting into rhythm. Under Uiagalelei, the unit was not dynamic, with the team averaging a paltry 2.2 rushing yards per attempt. However, Glenn brings more mobility and playmaking ability outside of the pocket, a tougher task for the Duke defense.
