Trinity Dean Valerie Ashby told the Council that she thinks it is important to secure broad support from faculty before making changes to the curriculum. 

During the event, panelists said that more in-depth journalism about the everyday lives of Muslims is necessary to combat negative perceptions of Islam in the media.
