‘Being good people’: Pratt initiative looks to center character, ethics in engineering curriculum

The new initiative aims to integrate ethics into engineering curriculums, with the goal of creating better engineers and people. By offering workshops, consultations and reading groups, Character Forward helps faculty integrate “character education” into their classrooms.

Duke Climate Commitment expands with 2 initiatives

The University received $1 million from HPS Investment Partners and the Kapnick Foundation to fund the Climate Dialogue and Innovation Initiative: Southeast Asia and the World in the Sanford School, and Associate Professor of Medicine Robert Tighe was named to lead the School of Medicine’s research strategy on the impact of the climate crisis on health.
