Duke baseball swept on the road against Stanford, falls to 12-9 on season

Duke fell 10-5 to No. 18 Stanford Sunday evening to cap off a disappointing road sweep. After mustering just two runs through the first two games of the series, the Blue Devils entered Sunday looking to salvage a game and avoid a winless weekend. Instead, they squandered an early lead and were doubled up, heading back to Durham licking their wounds as they prepare to enter the heart of conference play.

Duke men's basketball shatters season offensive records in balanced performance against Stanford

Such was the case for Duke in Saturday evening’s 106-70 dispatching of Stanford, as the Blue Devils posted one of the best offensive performances in the program’s storied history according to KenPom. While head coach Jon Scheyer’s contingent has consistently proved to be one of the best in the nation, the victory against the Cardinal was the first time everything clicked on the same night — and the result was a near-flawless offensive performance.

Duke baseball 2025 season preview

The Blue Devils enter the season ranked 11th in the country, thanks in part to an abundance of left-handed pitching and hitting talent. After securing the ACC Tournament title last season but sputtering out in the Norman Regional, this year’s team has its eyes set on a deeper postseason run — namely that elusive place called Omaha.
