Newly opened restaurants and cafes on Durham’s Ninth Street district have become trendy destinations for students. In the past year, many new dining options have opened on Ninth Street, including a burger restaurant, a coffee shop and a Venezuelan eatery.

Jan Riggsbee, director and co-founder of TeachHouse and associate professor of the practice in the Program in Education, is helping recent graduates transition as teachers.
