Ever since we were little, most of us wanted to be something important. Some of us wanted to be firefighters, others wanted to ballerinas.
A few weeks ago I attended my first funeral. Walking into the wake, I was surprised by how scared I felt to see my grandfather displayed inside the casket.
I know we are all tired of talking about sexual assault on Duke’s campus. We all know the statistics by heart: one in four women and one in 10 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetimes.
Take a look at the world around you. Your roommate is an amazing athlete and has already written an inspirational autobiography.
Do you ever wonder where your $120 student activities fee goes? This semester alone, I paid $248 so that we have an afternoon barbecue or a band play on the quad whenever Campus Council desires.
You walk into a supermarket and are able to choose from countless types of perfectly ripe fruit.
