Sitting in a small press conference room in Watsco Stadium after a blowout 97-60 victory over ACC basement dweller Miami, it’s impossible to ignore the similar grit, desire and determination that this Duke team is playing with night in and night out. Despite the supposed lack of maturity as one of the younger squads in college hoops, this team is striving for that 1992 glory in all the right ways, and it shows on and off the court.

No. 19 Duke women’s lacrosse suffers 19-10 loss to No. 1 Boston College after disappointing fourth quarter

Boston College led for nearly the entire game, expanding their lead with an aggressive offense and well-timed shots on goal en route to a dominant 19-10 victory. The Blue Devils, however, became the first team this season to score at least 10 goals against the Eagles, spearheaded by sophomore Bella Goodwin’s two goals and one assist.

Duke's Reigan Richardson scored 11 points in a win against Syracuse.
SPORTS | BASKETBALL

Column: No. 11 Duke women’s basketball has played well to this point. But for a deep postseason run, Reigan Richardson must step up

The second half of Richardson’s senior season has disappointed relative to her expectations, but it is important to note that said expectations aren’t coming out of thin air. Earlier this season, she scored a career-high 35 points in an overtime victory over Oklahoma. In the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament last season, Richardson averaged 26.5 points and seven rebounds a game while shooting 58.3% from the floor. She has shown an ability to completely take over games with her midrange jumper, but it hasn’t been actualized over the back half of the 2024-25 season.
