‘We cannot allow this incident to be swept under the rug’: NC representatives hold vigil one year after Jan. 6 attacks

“We know our democracy is only 246 years old, but it is all that we know. It is all that our parents, our grandparents, our great great grandparents have known, and yet we may take it for granted: our Constitution, our free and fair elections, the rule of law, the electoral process, the certification of a president,” state Rep. Marcia Morey said.
