Although Duke secured a 77-61 win against the Lions, the game did not go smoothly for both teams. The two sides both recorded 20-plus turnovers throughout the game. Because of the rugged playstyle of this game, the winner was going to be the team with more grit.
The 13th-ranked Blue Devils were hot off of their five-game win streak and came into the game against Columbia ready to continue it, taking the matchup 77-61.
The answer does not need to be a complete turn from the shot, but the Blue Devils have to start taking advantage of their top-tier defense and get inside on offense, rather than settle for 3-pointers.

Against Kansas, at times, it was obvious that Duke needed a grow-up game. It needed to face the top-ranked, most experienced team in the nation, in a packed-out neutral site where at times it was difficult to tell if there were more fans rooting for Kansas or for Duke. And while they usually say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, for the Blue Devils to have success down the rest of their season, they will need to keep what happened in Vegas at the forefront of their minds.
