In Duke’s 70-48 win against Seattle, it held a team to less than 60 points for the fourth time this season. KenPom currently ranks Duke as the best defensive team in the country, a metric of which any team would be proud. Still, in two of the Blue Devils' three most difficult games this season, they came out on the losing end. So the question remains, how?

A 5-0 start, a historic comeback against their most hated rival, votes in the AP poll. After the departures of former head coach Mike Elko and starting quarterback Riley Leonard threatened to destabilize the program, Duke has continued to establish itself as far more than just a basketball school.

It is no secret that there are a lot of holiday-themed horror movies. Even beyond Halloween, an obvious outlier, something about holidays inspires the mind of horror writers, directors and producers. As a result, we have horror movies for everything from Christmas to President’s Day to Easter to New Year’s to Independence Day to even Valentine’s Day. And Thanksgiving is no exception.

Not for No. 13 Duke women’s basketball, though: After defeating Kansas State Monday, the Blue Devils extended their stay in Henderson, Nev., to take on No. 8 Oklahoma in the Ball Dawgs Women’s Championship Game.

The Blue Devils are in Las Vegas to take on a No. 1-ranked Kansas team in the second matchup of an early-season test in the West, which they started by taking down then-No. 17 Arizona. Kansas has been looming on head coach Jon Scheyer’s schedule, as any matchup with the top team in the country would.
