After losing to the Hurricanes 5-2 during the regular season, Duke won an epic ACC tournament championship match, 4-3, to claim that crown. Then, the two teams met for a third time in the NCAA tournament quarterfinals, and Duke performed well enough to earn a 4-1 victory.
