Natasha Bedingfield will headline the annual Last Day of Classes concert on April 23, according to a video streamed by the DUU LDOC Committee during its Thursday evening artist reveal. Additional acts include Penelope Road and Rich The Kid.

Bedingfield is a British pop singer and songwriter from Haywards Heath, Sussex, England. She is best known for her hit singles “Unwritten” and “Pocketful of Sunshine,” which both peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. Bedingfield’s singles “These Words” and “Love Like This” were also featured on the chart.

Bedingfield first gained widespread recognition in 2004 when she released her debut album “Unwritten,” which earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Her musical style blends pop, R&B and soul, and she is widely praised for her bright melodies and nostalgic lyrics.

Prior to her solo career, Bedingfield was part of the Christian “dance/electronic group” The DNA Algorithm alongside two of her siblings. Outside of her music career, she is actively involved in global humanitarian work through the Global Angels Foundation — started by her mother — which advocates for children’s rights, education and poverty alleviation.

Dimitri Leslie Roger, who goes by the stage name Rich The Kid, is a rapper and songwriter from Queens, New York. He broke into the mainstream with his 2018 hit “Plug Walk” and has since collaborated with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne and Migos. His debut album “The World Is Yours” peaked at number two on the Billboard 200.

He is featured in Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West’s recent top hit song “Carnival,” which topped the 2024 Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Penelope Road is an emerging indie band from Atlanta. The band has five members and is known for their 70s rock, funk and soul sound. Featuring a blend of retro flair and modern soul, the band’s biggest hit is “Tired of Love,” from their 2024 self-titled debut extended play.
