Jon Scheyer, Manny Diaz and Kara Lawson will be pleased with their recruits' recent outings.

Let’s take a look at how some of the top recruits in Duke’s football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball recruiting classes of 2025 are performing in their final seasons at the high school level:

Football

Bryce Davis, DL, Grimsley HS (N.C.)

In his senior season, Davis accumulated 125 total tackles, including 37 tackles for loss and 27 sacks, along with five forced fumbles and eight pass breakups. This helped guide his team to a 16-0 record and the North Carolina 4A State Championship. On Jan. 15, the Greensboro, N.C., native was named Sports Illustrated’s National Defensive Player of the Year, another honor after being named a MaxPreps All-American and being selected to the 2025 Under Armor Next All-America Game. Davis enrolled at Duke in early January and is set to participate in spring practice.

Bradley Gompers, TE/LB, Pittsburgh Central Catholic HS (Pa.)

Playing on both sides of the ball, the 6-foot-5, 215-pound athlete was a force in his senior season, winning numerous state and national awards, highlighted by an invitation to the Navy All-American game. Gompers tallied 102 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, five sacks, two blocked kicks, two forced fumbles and one interception. As if that was not enough, he also hauled in 34 receptions for 795 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Pennsylvania 6A Player of the Year also struck gold this season, as Central Catholic won the WPIAL 6A state championship.

Nate Sheppard, RB, Mandeville HS (La.)

In seven games, Sheppard tallied 1340 rushing yards — averaging 11.2 per carry — and scored 22 touchdowns on the year. He also caught eight passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns. However, the standout suffered a lower-leg injury on the first play of the eighth game of the year, which ended his high school career. After a successful surgery, the back has enrolled at Duke and is set to make an impact on spring practice.

Men’s basketball

Cameron and Cayden Boozer, PF/PG, Christopher Columbus HS (Fla.)

Boozer, the No. 2 recruit in his class, is proving to be a dominant force in his final year of high school basketball. In Columbus’ most recent victory, a 10-point win over eighth-ranked Perry, Cameron totaled 31 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. Cayden chipped in 11 points of his own along with four rebounds and eight assists. Columbus is currently ranked No. 2 nationally, and first in Florida. Along with fellow Duke commit Nik Khamenia, the brothers were selected to represent USA at the Nike Hoops Summit, which will feature the USA Basketball Men's Junior Select Team against a team of international players April 12.

Shelton Henderson, SF, Bellaire HS (Texas)

Through 11 games, the No. 1 player in the state of Texas is averaging 18.4 points, 1.4 assists, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.2 blocks. Bellaire is 16-9 and 5-1 in district play. Henderson also signed his National Letter of Intent in November, confirming his commitment to the Brotherhood.

Nik Khamenia, PG, Harvard-Westlake HS (Calif.)

Harvard-Westlake is currently on a 11-game win streak, pushing them up all the way to No. 2 in California and No. 3 nationally, just behind Columbus. Four-star commit Khamenia is leading that push, using his great passing and shooting ability, and most recently tallying 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a 11-point win over conference foe Crespi. The Wolverines also took home the title at the HoopHall West Nike Tournament of Champions, with Khamenia taking home MVP honors.

Women’s Basketball

Emilee Skinner, SG, Ridgeline HS (Utah)

Skinner, the No. 7 recruit in her class according to ESPN, has been filling up the stat sheets in her senior season. So far, the guard is averaging 26.5 points per game, 4.5 assists, 9.8 rebounds, 3.9 steals and 1.4 blocks. Ridgeline is currently 16-0 and ranked first in Utah according to MaxPreps. While the only commit in her class for Duke, Skinner’s motor will headline an already young Blue Devil team with its sights set on a national title.
