Duke fans ushered the country's No. 2 recruiting class onto campus this fall, but eyes are already on next season's crop of youngsters.
On Thursday night, five-star forward Kon Knueppel announced his commitment to the Blue Devils via social media, snubbing the likes of Wisconsin, Alabama and Marquette. The Milwaukee native is ranked 16th in the class of 2024 and brings a versatile skillset to a talented recruiting class that already features four-star Darren Harris and five-star Isaiah Evans.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound small forward is a gifted shooter and has a keen eye for the pass to go along with a physical build compared to others in his position. He enjoyed a highly successful year, finishing as the top scorer in the regular season EYBL circuit this summer with a 23 points-per-game average and nailing 47% of his 3-point attempts this spring.
The Wisconsin Lutheran product is ranked 16th in the class of 2024, seventh among small forwards and first in the state of Wisconsin.
With Knueppel's commitment, Scheyer's 2024 class is now ranked as the second-best in the country behind hometown rival North Carolina.
