After a stunning 28-7 upset against No. 9 Clemson, Duke basked in the limelight while students stormed Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium and a sea of orange flooded toward the exits. With the celebrations raging on, the sports world took to social media in a flurry of tweets, memes and congratulatory posts.

Blue Devil alumni showed out in droves online, praising the team’s first top-10 win since 1989.

Meanwhile, several current Duke athletes showed their Blue Devil pride as they applauded the squad’s victory.

Others took the more amusing approach, with Clemson trolls to memes celebrating Duke.

Even Robert Griffin III had to get in on the action.

Yet the greatest social media posts of the night were those showing the excitement of the Blue Devil community.
