The first nonconference slate of Jon Scheyer's head coaching career is already taking shape.

Blue Devils, meet Big Apple. Again.

Just hours after it was made official that Duke would be traveling to Portland, Ore., for the PK85 over Thanksgiving break, CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reported via FanDuel that the Blue Devils will compete in the Jimmy V Classic in New York this upcoming December.

As of right now, Texas is the only other program that has also been linked to the event. The other two teams and official matchups for the showcase, which will take place at Madison Square Garden, have not yet been reported.

Duke last played in the event in 2016, when the No. 5 Blue Devils knocked off No. 21 Florida 84-74.

December's matchup, whether against Texas or another program, will mark head coach-in-waiting Jon Scheyer's first foray into the World's Most Famous Arena as a head coach.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
