Coach K will be back on the court that dons his name Saturday afternoon.
After head coach Mike Krzyzewski missed the Wake Forest game due to a virus not related to COVID-19, he returned to practice earlier this week and is ready to coach his squad against N.C. State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
"Everything's definitely getting back to normal. He looks great. He's healthy. He's energetic, and he's excited for this game. So it's been really good to have him back around," assistant coach Nolan Smith said in his Friday Zoom press conference. "Our team obviously gets a lift of energy when he is back around. So yeah, we're excited. We're ready to go."
Head coach-in-waiting Jon Scheyer filled in as head coach in Krzyzewski's absence, and will return to his associate head coaching duties now that Krzyzewski is back at the helm. Duke won 76-64 with Scheyer acting as head coach Wednesday.
