After a pair of delays, Duke men’s basketball’s tenting season has received the green light.

Duke’s Blue tenting period will begin Jan. 23 at 5 p.m., per a Thursday email to students from head line monitors. Registration for Blue tenting will remain open until Jan. 18 at 9:30 p.m. and the entry trivia test will take place Jan. 19 at 9:30 p.m. in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The email affirms “official confirmation from administration to begin tenting next weekend” after Black tenting was canceled and the overall tenting season was delayed to curb the spread of COVID-19. The newly-set Jan. 23 start date will mark the first Sunday after in-person classes resume Jan. 18.

The annual potential entry trivia test will take place after a record 175 Blue tents registered prior to Thursday’s email, exceeding the previously set 70-group threshold.

Duke’s tenting season will implement new rules and regulations as detailed in a Dec. 23 email to students. Undergraduate students tent for a seat at the March 5 game against North Carolina.
