Shawn Wilbourn named ACC women's outdoor track and field coach of the year

Director of track and field and cross country Shawn Wilbourn received some good news Wednesday afternoon. 

The ACC named Wilbourn the ACC Women's Coach of the Year. His recognition marks the first time a Duke coach has earned the award for indoor or outdoor. 

Wilbourn was named program director in April and officially took over June 1. He served as the interim head coach for the track and field program this season, and led the women's team to the program's first-ever ACC championship.
