Four days after postponing a game against Miami, Duke is completely shutting down team activities for the time being, per a team release.
The team announced that the indefinite pause comes after two positive COVID-19 tests within the program and subsequent contact tracing.
The Blue Devils originally postponed their matchup with the Hurricanes after their prior opponent, Louisville, had a positive COVID-19 test result among one of a player, coach, staff or manager. That meant Duke had likely shared the court with someone carrying the virus.
The Blue Devils' upcoming games against No. 4 NC State this Sunday and UNC-Wilmington next Tuesday have been postponed.
Duke joins Louisville and Connecticut as Power 5 teams to have shut down at one point this season due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
