While it won't happen on the date that everyone expected before the season, the Blue Devils' matchup with Gardner-Webb will eventually be played.
In a team release, Duke announced that its game against Gardner-Webb will now be played Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. The matchup was originally slated as the Blue Devils' season-opener Nov. 25 but was postponed after the Runnin' Bulldogs had a positive COVID-19 test within the program.
Duke's next game comes against Bellarmine Friday at 7 p.m.
