While various sources have given Duke fans a pretty good idea of what the team's nonconference schedule will look like, one aspect of the schedule that received little clarity was the team's Champions Classic battle with Michigan State.
Until now.
Per the New York Times’ Adam Zagoria, the Blue Devils will host Michigan State at Cameron Indoor Stadium. CBS Sports' Matt Norlander later reported the game will be played Dec. 1.
Kentucky and Kansas are currently slated to play their Champions Classic matchup in Indianapolis that same day, continuing the tradition of the Champions Classic being played at neutral sites for all teams.
Norlander tweeted that the reason for the separate locations between the two games is "differing COVID-19 protocols between Big 12/SEC and ACC/Big Ten."
