There may not be a better game in college basketball all season long. So it was only inevitable that Duke's primetime matchup with Virginia next weekend was going to get the full ESPN treatment.
During Saturday's game vs. Florida State, it was announced that College GameDay Covered by State Farm will be broadcast live from Cameron Indoor Stadium Jan. 19 in advance of the top-ranked Blue Devils matchup with No. 4 Virginia. It will mark the ninth time that ESPN's traveling college basketball show will come to Durham, pushing Duke ahead of Kansas for the most visits in GameDay history.
Featuring former Blue Devils Jay Williams and Jay Bilas as well as ex-Virginia Tech head coach Seth Greenberg and host Rece Davis, the show will begin at 11 a.m., but doors are set to open at 10 a.m. with admission free for both students and the general public.
Duke's matchup with the Cavaliers will be the centerpiece of an eventful Saturday in college basketball—undefeated No. 2 Michigan heads to Wisconsin earlier in the day, and then No. 18 Kentucky will visit No. 11 Auburn on ESPN, immediately preceding the Blue Devils' top-five battle.

A junior from just outside Philadelphia, Mitchell is probably reminding you how the Eagles won the Super Bowl this year and that the Phillies are definitely on the rebound. Outside of The Chronicle, he majors in Economics, minors in Statistics and is working toward the PJMS certificate, in addition to playing trombone in the Duke University Marching Band. And if you're getting him a sandwich with beef and cheese outside the state of Pennsylvania, you best not call it a "Philly cheesesteak."Â
