After losing three of their last four games, including a home loss to N.C. State for the first time since 1995, the Blue Devils find themselves at a crossroads before hitting the court Saturday at Wake Forest.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski held a team meeting Tuesday night and informed players they were kicked out of the locker room and forbidden from wearing team apparel until further notice.
Per the report, Duke held a separate players-only meeting following the meeting with Krzyzewksi—who is on the mend from back surgery in early January.
The Blue Devils are 2-3 with interim head coach Jeff Capel at the helm and have struggled to find any sense of consistency for much of the season. To make matters worse, every player in Duke's rotation has dealt with some sort of injury this season and the Blue Devils have yet to jell when on the court together.
Duke sits near the bottom half of the ACC standings with its 3-4 record in conference play and will look to turn its season around when it travels to take on Wake Forest Saturday at 3 p.m.
