The Blue Devils' five-point victory against Wisconsin Monday to claim their fifth national title was a little tight. Thursday, so was late-night comedy.
Comedian Larry Wilmore hosted Thursday's episode of The Nightly Show in a spandex tuxedo, holding up his end of the bargain from the bracket challenge he initiated at the start of March Madness.
Just a few months removed from taking over for The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, Wilmore asked his viewers to create dares for him on Twitter tied to each of the teams in this year's NCAA tournament. If that team cut down the nets in Indianapolis, Wilmore pledged to honor the dare.
If Wisconsin had won the title, Wilmore would have hosted the show in a full suit of armor as The Knightly Show. In part because that outfit was a little bit more forgiving than Thursday's spandex tuxedo, Wilmore was pulling for the Badgers Monday night.
