Although the season kicks off in less than a week, the Duke Football program is looking ahead to the future after signing two top 2015 prospects to scholarship agreements.
Three-star offensive tackle Reno Rosene and three-star defensive end Marqueis Price will enroll this January as part of the agreement, as long as they complete their high school degrees this fall. The duo follows in the footsteps of current freshman Jonathon Lloyd, who enrolled early this past winter and participated in the annual Spring Game.
Although the agreement does not require the two players to attend Duke, the university has committed to offer them scholarships beginning this winter.
Rosene, a native of Westlake Village, Calif. is a three-star recruit according to ESPN and is the No. 60 offensive tackle in the country according the 247Sports.com. He was one of the Blue Devils' first commits in the 2015 class and remains one of the most talented members of the class on the offensive side of the ball.
Price, a 6-foot-7 defensive end from Fort Valley, Ga., is ranked as the 62nd best defensive end prospect by ESPN. He is part of a six-player contingent of players from the state of Georgia in David Cutcliffe's 2015 recruiting class.
Price and Rosene are the first players in the class to sign scholarship agreements in Duke's 2015 recruiting class, which currently consists of 18 prospects and is ranked as the 24th best recruiting class in the nation by ESPN. Cutcliffe will hope to ink these prospects on February 4, 2015, which is National Signing Day.
