Team USA announced the final roster for the 17U national team today and it was mostly good news for Duke's 2015 and 2016 targets.
The roster will include all four 2015 targets, as Henry Ellenson, Ivan Rabb, Caleb Swanigan and Diamond Stone all earned a spot on the squad. Of the four 2016 targets, Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles and Tyus Battle passed through the trials and made the team.
Unfortunately for T.J. Leaf—the newest Duke offeree—he did not survive final cuts and will not be playing for the national team this year
The 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship for Men is scheduled for Aug. 8-16 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The USA opens preliminary play against Greece on Aug. 8.
