Game Synopsis: Going on the road to face a Virginia squad that would not win an ACC game this season, Duke did not look like a team that was on its way to a Coastal Division championship. Instead, it was the Cavaliers who jumped out to a 22-0 lead behind the play of running back Kevin Parks, who scored three touchdowns on the afternoon. Anthony Boone and the Blue Devil offense looked out of sorts in the first half before the team got a spark from its defense. Duke rallied to score 35 unanswered points as Brandon Connette ran for a score and gave his team the lead when he hit tight end Braxton Deaver for a 47-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-1.

The Quote: "This is huge. Being down 22-0, I don't know if a Duke team has ever come back from that big of a deficit in a long time," redshirt senior cornerback Ross Cockrell said. "We came together. We became strong as a family, and that's what our goal is."

Key Stats: The Blue Devils were a 4-for-4 on fourth down on the afternoon. The Duke defense also forced Virginia into a three-and-out on five consecutive possessions, keeping the Cavaliers from picking up a first down for the entire third quarter.

Milestone Alert: The Blue Devils' victory was the team's fifth victory against Virginia in six years with head coach David Cutcliffe at the helm.
