At approximately 11:20 p.m., Durham resident Osahon Osifo, 20, was crossing the street and was hit by a Honda Accord driven by Yu Chen, 27, of Durham. Osifo was then transported to a hospital with life-threatening conditions.
There was no indication that the driver was speeding or under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred, according to investigators. No charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
