Overview: With team leader Michael Snaer gone, Florida State’s identity is in flux for the upcoming season. Florida State ranked ninth in the ACC in scoring last season at 67.0 points per game, and if the Seminoles are to top that figure this year the team will need to find a scoring option to make up for Snaer's absence. Senior Okaro White must elevate his game to a new level after averaging 12.4 points per game and shooting 51.1 percent from the field. One of the keys to accomplishing this will be the 6-foot-8 White's ability to get to the foul line, where he shot 81.5 percent last season.

Devon Bookert and Ian Miller will look to provide consistency in the backcourt. Bookert averaged 21.5 minutes per game as a freshman last year, and must get his teammates more involved on the offensive end in his second season. Ian Miller, thought of as a 3-point specialist, shot a mere 27.7 percent from the perimeter last season. If Miller can rediscover his shooting stroke, he may emerge as the second scoring option behind White on this Seminole squad. Bookert and Miller will play significant minutes in the backcourt this season due to the ineligibility of highly-touted freshman Xavier Rathan-Mayes. The Huntington Prep product was ranked No. 44 in the ESPN Class of 2013, but was ruled academically ineligible for this year during the offseason.

One thing that needs to go right: Florida State’s backcourt decreases its turnovers and distributes the ball more effectively on offense after dishing out just 11.3 assists per game last season.

One thing that could go wrong: Florida State struggles to find a consistent second scoring option and can't keep up with high-powered ACC foes.
