Overview: After 20 years of playing the Sun Belt Conference, Florida Atlantic moved to the tougher Conference USA during the offseason, and the Owls will travel to Cameron Indoor Stadium Nov. 15 for their first ever matchup with Duke.

The Owls won 14 games last season, including two wins against Sun Belt champion Western Kentucky, but this year’s squad has some big shoes to fill. Guard Greg Gantt—Florida Atlantic's all-time leading scorer—averaged more than 20 points per game last season before graduating in the spring.

One thing that needs to go right: Florida Atlantic successfully transitions to the more competitive Conference USA with a more disciplined and physical brand of basketball.

One thing that could go wrong: Only bringing back five players from last year’s squad, a lack of experience hampers the Owls’ chances of getting back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002.
