Duke football injury report vs. Pittsburgh

As the Blue Devils prepare to take on Pittsburgh at Wallace Wade Stadium Saturday at 12:30 p.m., Duke released its weekly injury report. Here’s a rundown of the players are listed on the injury report this week:

PROBABLE

RB Eric Adams (upper body)

DE Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo (leg)

S Deondre Singleton (lower body)

QUESTIONABLE

S Corbin McCarthy (lower body)

OUT

OT Casey Blaser (hand)

QB Anthony Boone (upper body)

CB Jared Boyd (leg)

QB Thomas Sirk (leg)

WR Jack Wise (upper body)

DT A.J. Wolf (leg)

OUT FOR SEASON

OT Tanner Stone (leg)

Breakdown: Duke struggled in a 38-14 loss to Georgia Tech last week, but a positive takeaway from the game is that the Blue Devils did not incur any significant losses on the injury front against a physical Yellow Jacket squad that is known for its cut blocking up front.

Defensive end Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo has been upgraded to probable this week and should see his first action of the season against Pittsburgh. DeWalt-Ondijo has continued to rehab from offseason surgery but has seen action in practice during the past two weeks.

Safety Corbin McCarthy did sustain a lower body injury against Georgia Tech and is listed as questionable. McCarthy did return to the field and complete last Saturday's game, but Anthony Young-Wiseman is listed as his backup on the depth chart in case McCarthy cannot go this week. All indications are that Duke will hope to be fully stocked and healthy in its secondary this week as it takes on a Pittsburgh with two of the conference's top receivers in Devin Street and Tyler Boyd.
