Former Duke quarterback Thad Lewis has been traded from the Detroit Lions to the Buffalo Bills, according to a report from Pro Football Talk.
Lewis suited up in two of the Lions' first three preseason games in 2013 after being claimed by the team off waivers in May. In limited action, Lewis completed 6-of-8 passes for 60 yards in two contests.
Buffalo is currently stockpiling quarterbacks after losing E.J. Manuel and Kevin Kolb to injuries during the preseason. In addition to trading for Lewis, the Bills have also signed former USC star Matt Leinart.
Lewis made his first NFL start for the Cleveland Browns last season, completing 22-of-32 passes for 204 yards, throwing one touchdown and an interception in a 24-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
