ESPN released the television schedule for College GameDay for the 2013-14 season, and Duke will be featured on the show in two of the program's eight installments.
The Blue Devils will first appear on College GameDay when they take on Syracuse in the teams' first ACC matchup at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. The game, which is scheduled for Feb. 1 at 6:30, could be viewed by upwards on 50,000 fans should Syracuse make good on rumors that they will move the basketball court to the center of the Carrier Dome's field, allowing for a record-setting crowd. The Duke-Syracuse matchup will get an earlier start before ESPN's primetime matchup of the Miami Heat and New York Knicks at 8:30 that night.
College GameDay will then come to Durham March 8 for Duke's senior night matchup with North Carolina, which is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tip.The Blue Devils will host College GameDay at Cameron Indoor Stadium for a record-tying fifth time.
There will also be a special 30-minute installment of College GameDay before the Champions Classic in Chicago Nov. 12, where Michigan State will take on Kentucky in the first game at 7:30 p.m. and Duke and Kansas will follow up with a 10 p.m. nightcap.
Duke's full schedule will likely be released in September, but with early-season tournaments and primetime TV schedules starting to be released, the Blue Devils' 2013-14 schedule is starting to come together. ESPN's press release notes that "Syracuse will face Duke for the first time as ACC opponents in the primetime game on Feb. 1," so expect that the team's first matchup at Cameron Indoor Stadium will take place later in the season.
