Following a 5-under-par 211 at the PING/ASU Invitational this weekend, Duke senior Lindy Duncan has been named April’s ACC Golfer of the Month.
With her performance last weekend, which earned her a tie for fifth place individually, Duncan paced the Blue Devils en route to a second-place finish as a team.
Prior to that, Duncan had competed at the 2013 Kraft Nabsico Championship, the LPGA first major of the season. Duncan failed to make the cut after carding an opening-round 81, but she recorded a three-under 69 Friday. That round featured no bogeys and was bested by just five professionals.
Ranked No. 8 by Golfweek, Duncan earned the fourth ACC Golfer of the Month honors of her career.
The Blue Devils will compete at the ACC Championship from April 19-21 in Greensboro, N.C. at the Sedgefield Country Club. Duke won it last year, and Duncan won individually.
