Duke basketball No. 3 in March 4 AP Poll

Even though Duke lost a game last week, it didn't move in this week's AP Poll.

With a loss to Virginia Thursday then a win against then-No. 5 Miami Saturday, the Blue Devils stayed at No. 3 in this week's rankings. Last week's No. 1 Indiana lost and moved down to No. 2 while Gonzaga moved from the second spot to No. 1 for the first time in program history.

Kansas, Georgetown, Miami, Michigan, Louisville, Kansas State and Michigan State round out the top 10. Gonzaga has just two losses—the four other teams in the top five all have four losses.

The Blue Devils received five first-place votes and 1,471 points in this week's poll. Duke did not receive any first-place votes last week and received 1,461 points.

Gonzaga got 51 of the 65 first-place votes while Indiana earned seven and Georgetown pulled in two.

Duke and Miami are the only ACC teams ranked, but North Carolina is the first team out of the poll right now.

The Blue Devils were No. 3 in last week's USA Today/Coaches' Poll and slipped down to No. 4 this week there, behind Gonzaga, Indiana and Kansas.

Check back later today for a further breakdown of the AP Poll.
