Duke wrestling extends its winning streak to four matches

At the Davidson Duals this weekend, Duke extended its winning streak to four, beating SIU Edwardsville 38-9 and Davidson 38-6.

All 10 Blue Devils won at least one match this weekend and sophomore Tanner Hough, redshirt sophomore Immanuel Kerr-Brown and redshirt freshman Marcus Cain won both matches that they competed in. Redshirt senior Peter Terrezza captured two wins with a pair of forfeits, and redshirt freshman Trey Adamson and sophomore Randy Roden went 2-0 with a forfeit each.

Duke (6-5) jumped out to a 32-0 lead against SIU Edwardsville (2-14). The Cougars won the final three matches, but the 32-point deficit was too large to overcome.

Just 10 minutes later, the Blue Devils retook the mat to face the Wildcats (6-9). After two matches, the score was tied at 6-6. Duke went on to win its final eight matches of the afternoon.

The Blue Devils will hit the road Tuesday to take on Gardner-Webb. They will resume ACC competition next weekend at home against Maryland.
