Chelsea Gray out for the rest of the regular season with knee injury

Update (5:41 p.m.): According to Duke women's basketball head coach Joanne P. McCallie, Chelsea Gray dislocated her right knee cap and will be out for at least the remainder of the regular season. The ligament implications are unclear after she took a hard foul with 8:07 remaining in the first half of today's game against Wake Forest.

The crowd at Cameron Indoor Stadium went completely silent as Gray remained on the court for several minutes screaming in pain. With the help of Duke medical staff, Gray eventually left the court on crutches. The Blue Devils went on to win the game 81-70.

A Duke official stated that Gray will definitely will not return in today's game. More information will come after the MRI results.

Gray, averaging 13.1 points, 5.1 assists and 3.7 steals per game, leads the ACC in both steals and assists. The junior has started all 25 of Duke's games this year.

Prior to leaving the game, Gray had scored two points and grabbed two boards.
