Apparently there was a presidential innauguration today. Somebody should've told Jabari Parker, who was trending on Twitter this afternoon.
Parker scored a game-high 28 points for No. 11 Simeon, which took down No. 10 Oak Hill 81-68 in the Hoophall Classic.
Parker missed this summer with a foot injury and has since slowly been honing his game, the same game that netted him the No. 2 ranking in his recruiting class, according to ESPN. If his performance today was any indication, top form has been achieved.
Parker has led Simeon to three consecutive Illinois state championships and committed to Duke in December, ending a long and spotlighted college decision.
Parker shouldn't brag about his performance too much next year, though—sophomore point guard Quinn Cook went to Oak Hill. Former Duke guard Nolan Smith also went to the Virginia school.
