Ross Cockrell and Ross Martin earn All-America honors

Cornerback Ross Cockrell and kicker Ross Martin have each received honorable mention All-America recognition from Sports Illustrated, the outlet announced Tuesday.

Cockrell, a redshirt junior from Waxhaw, N.C., recorded 63 tackles, 12 pass breakups and an ACC-leading five interceptions this season while serving as one of Duke's four co-captains. He was also named first team All-ACC by both the conference's coaches and media.

After being named a first team Freshman All-American by both Sporting News and CBSCollegeSports.com earlier this week, Martin can now add this honor to a remarkable freshman season with the Blue Devils. The Solon, Ohio native converted on 18-of-20 field goal attempts and all 44 of his extra points in 2012. With 98 points on the season, Martin trails Clarkson Hines by six points for Duke's all-time record for points in a season.
