Butler upsets Indiana, setting Duke basketball up for No. 1

For all the heartbreak Butler nearly caused Duke basketball in the 2010 National Championship game, the Bulldogs have some key upsets against Duke's top competitors this season.

And with Butler handing No. 1 Indiana an 88-86 overtime loss Saturday, the No. 2 Blue Devils will assume the No. 1 spot in the rankings Monday. Duke did not play this week, taking time off for finals.

Earlier in the season, Butler beat then-No. 9 North Carolina in the Maui Invitational.

The Blue Devils were never ranked No. 1 last season but owned the title last in 2011, until they lost on Saturday Feb. 26 to Virginia Tech.

Since the 1997-1998 season, Duke has been ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll for 67 weeks. The next most in that span? North Carolina at 37.
