Investor, BET founder and part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, Bob Johnson spoke at Duke's Fuqua School of Business last Friday.
Johnson, heralded as the first black billionaire, was the principal owner of the Bobcats before selling his majority stake to Michael Jordan in 2010.

When he was asked about failures and difficulties in his career, Johnson joked, “You mean the Bobcats?”
“You find this guy named Michael Jordan and you say, ‘Michael, take this damn thing,” he said to laughter from the audience. “No, no, no. I’m still partners in the Bobcats and I think they’re going do—I know they’re gonna win more games than they did last year.”
Later, he predicted that the Bobcats would win 37 games this season—30 more than they had won last year. Former Blue Devil Gerald Henderson is on the Bobcats and is fourth on the team with 12.5 points per game.
