Junior Laura Weinberg has been named the ACC Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Weinberg ranks seventh in Duke history with 75 career points and fifth in goals with 32.

This past week, Weinberg led the Blue Devils to victories over No. 15 Virginia Tech and No. 13 Boston College, registering three goals and one assist.

Against the Hokies, Weinberg scored the game-winning goal in overtime to secure a 3-2 victory. This was her third game-winning goal in ACC play and fifth overall this season. The junior tallied her 14th goal of the season against Boston College Sunday, and assisted redshirt junior Kim DeCesare on the last goal of the match, which the Blue Devils won 4-2.

In eight of the last 10 matches, the Boca Raton, Fla. native has found the back of the net. Her ACC-leading 14 goals currently tie for fifth on Duke’s single-season list. She is tied for third in the nation in goals per game, ranking sixth in points. The Blue Devils face N.C. State Thursday in Raleigh, N.C.
