CHARLOTTE — Cops have been brought in to the Democratic National Convention from all around the country—including Durham.
More than 100 members of the Durham Police Department traveled from Durham to Charlotte this morning to help with security measures, according to police. Most of the Durham force is working outside of security barricades, but some were sent in to the premises of the Time Warner Cable Arena this afternoon. Police are not permitted to divulge information on their responsibilities, plans or DNC experiences to media personnel.
The Durham police force will travel back home Friday morning when the convention is over.
