On the first day of the July evaluation period, Jabari Parker, the No. 1 ranked player in the class of 2013, grabbed the attention of the national media Wednesday afternoon when he tweeted his official list of prospective schools-- Kentucky, Stanford, Michigan State, Kansas, Florida, Duke, BYU, Georgetown, DePaul and North Carolina.
The 6-foot-8 swingman from Chicago has been recruited intensely by Blue Devil head coach Mike Krzyzewski for quite some time now.
Fresh off helping the U.S. U-17 team win a gold medal, Parker is not expected to participate in any events this weekend as he recovers from a foot injury that has given him problems all summer.
It is still unknown whether or not Parker will be able to play next weekend with his AAU team, the Mac Irvin Fire, in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam.
