Justin Jackson (2014)
- 6-foot-6 small forward from Houston, Texas
- Plays on the same AAU team—the Houston Hoops—that incoming Duke freshman Rasheed Sulaimon played on while he was in high school
- Schools recruiting Jackson include Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Florida, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, Memphis and Baylor, among others
On Duke’s communication with him:
“I haven’t talked to them in a while, but last time I talked to them they said they were interested. They are interested to see how I keep growing and my game and they are going to be watching me.”
On whether or not there are any schools standing out for him:
“Not really. I’m so open to whoever is on my list. And whoever is recruiting me, I'm interested in.”
On his plans to take any visits in the near future:
“We’re still trying to figure that out. Obviously, it’s been pretty busy lately. I think we have two more tournaments, so we’re trying to figure out if maybe after those we can go take some visits, but we don’t know when or where.”
On his experience at the Nike Global Challenge:
“It’s great. You have 30 of the best players for the U.S. team, and just to play with all these great guys is amazing. And playing [against] foreign talent is amazing as well.”
On North Carolina’s interest in him as of late:
“[North Carolina] has been recruiting me for a while now and it just now started getting more serious. They said they going to watch me harder and that they are going to enjoy watching me play and grow.”
